In which a group of graying eternal amateurs discuss their passions, interests and obsessions, among them: movies, art, politics, evolutionary biology, taxes, writing, computers, these kids these days, and lousy educations.

Heavens!

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

* Heavens! The people you can meet on Amazon! Do a Google Images search (when the boss isn't watching, of course) to see examples of Chanta Rose's work. I'm tickled to see that "Mary Poppins" is on Chanta's Wish List.

* Heavens! The things that can be bought (and ogled!) at Amazon!

* Heavens! The things you can find in Wikipedia!

Best,

Michael

Heavens. I would have thought "reverse Amazon" had something to do with online book transactions.

And I thought that the position in question was called "reverse cowgirl."

Ah, another one that looks like the video game renditions of women. I've noticed this on more and more tv commercials too. Will graphics soon be replacing live models and actors?

Peter -- I'd never heard of it being called a "reverse Amazon" either. Fortunately the entry shows up anyway if you do a search on "reverse cowgirl," so not too much damage to Western Civ is being done ...

Susan -- Live-action and computer-animation really do seem to be merging, don't they? I wonder what we'll be seeing next ...
