What We've Come To ...

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

I wonder if we're entering into a great era for political satire.

Yup, illegal or legal immigration, whitey better get used to not being top dog pretty quick. Also should probably think about treating better now those who will soon be in charge.

It has gone beyond satire:

Upstate Guy,
Let the groveling begin!

Upstate Guy, you're completely out of your mind. Some of us have NEVER mistreated minorities. Further, I find it interesting that you fear that they will treat you as badly as you've treated them. Something to confess?

@ray: Really? Are you sure? Have you ever lived in a country that had politicians who supported extreme measures for dealing with illegal immigrants? Are you white? To a lot of the future majority, that's enough to make you guilty. Prejudice is only skin deep, after all.

Sounds like we're letting in a bunch of racists, not to mention the ones already here...

Poor Upstate. You've run into one of the most irony-challenged individuals to show up here lately. Seems your foray went over like a lead balloon. Ray's ability to misread everything is simply unparalleled. I think you're a leftist, well, not hack, but pretty partisan. You've just been jobbed by a genuine leftist hack. He doesn't seem to realize you've criticized immigration restrictionists. And you're still doing it with your comments here.

You are, aren't you?

My God, what if I'm the one irony-challenged?

Stranger things have happened. Oh well.

"He doesn't seem to realize you've criticized immigration restrictionists."

The fact that Upstate Guy thinks immigration restrictionists are in power (or have ever been for the last few decades) is in and of itself very funny. Where has he been since 1965?

"Sounds like we're letting in a bunch of racists, not to mention the ones already here"

You beat a dog long enough, it's going to bite. We thrive solely on the near-slavery levels of pay and protections these illegals get and then criticize them, call them lazy and want to build fences to keep them out.

"He doesn't seem to realize you've criticized immigration restrictionists"

I am? Funny, I thought I was making fun of the fact that restrictions or not, whitey's going to be the minority soon, yet we're acting like we won't be.

Sounds like criticism of immigration restrictionists to me. Or maybe there's a difference between restrictionists and those who favour extreme methods for dealing with II's.

Hard to say. In any case, Ray totally missed whatever point it was you were trying to make, Upstate. Though given your own missing of that fact, maybe I'm asking one blind man to correct another blind man's misreading of an eye chart.

In any case, this is a boring useless comments thread (not just my parts!), so I'm saying sayonara to the blinkered. Work it out between you.
