• The jury for the final selection of the Pritzker Prize for architecture.

• 2Blowhards frequent commenters Shouting Thomas and Chris White getting together for a beer/coffee/whatever. (Actually, they might hit it off pretty well in person: Ya never know.)

The Pacific northwest is one of the world's great wine producers. The merlots and pinor noirs of Oregon are fantastic!

Back to school for me tomorrow. Won't be any time to drive sense into that mutton head Chris.

Perhaps, in July when I'm on vacation, I'll give it a try.

Agreed, ST. I lived in Portland, OR for a year and delivered wine/beer to stores up there. Had to make trips out to the Wilamette Valley to pick up loads from some smaller wineries out there. Not only is it incredibly beautiful, but the wines produced, particularly the pinots (as you mention) and even a Gewürztraminer. Portland and the surrounding areas in general are fantastic. I miss it.

I would love to have been in the room when the producers of "Howard the Duck" gave the go-ahead to start production. Where do people like this get such confidence?

Being a law student, I hafta mention the US Supreme Court conferences. Depending on the issue, I imagine some of the justices hurling objects at one another.

Here are some things I would have liked to have seen.

I'd like to have observed the 9-11 hijackers going through security.

On a lighter note, I'd like to have observed when whats-his-name proposed to Liza Minelli.
