In which a group of graying eternal amateurs discuss their passions, interests and obsessions, among them: movies, art, politics, evolutionary biology, taxes, writing, computers, these kids these days, and lousy educations.

Two New Group Blogs

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

* From the right: a new group blog by contributors to The American Conservative, edited by Daniel McCarthy.

* From whatever side of the spectrum it is that libertarians inhabit: a new group blog from the Independent Institute.

Best,

Michael

UPDATE: Thanks to TGGP, who points out another rewarding new group blog, The Art of the Possible, where the excellent Kevin Carson posts frequently.

Another good group blog is The Art of the Possible (mostly for Kevin Carson), which highlights two of Friedrich's posts on the "New Class" here. I'd take credit for pointing them out in a previous thread there except that Kevin can't remember when he last read them and who pointed them out.

Thanks for the mention, TGGP and Michael. You may be familiar with two of the other bloggers there: Angelica of Battlepanda; and Mona, who's been blogging at Unqualified Offerings since Jim Henley turned it into a group blog. The purpose of AOTP is to promote civil conversation and common ground between libertarians and liberals, toward establishing some sort of broad anti-authoritarian coalition.

I thought maybe you had originally directed my attention to the New Class articles, TGGP. It was somebody in the comments at my original blog.
