Fact for the Day

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

  • In the past ten years the birth rate among unmarried Latinas in the U.S. has risen from 89 to 100 per 1,000. It is now much higher than the rate among black or white women.

A striking further fact: Last year, for the first time, half of all Hispanic children born in the U.S. were born out of wedlock.

UPDATE: As for Ireland ... Hibernia Girl points out a study indicating that "by 2050, Ireland's population will consist of a multicultural and multiethnic mix in which the indigenous Irish will form a minority." Should the Irish be thanking their leaders for pursuing policies that lead to such results?

So much for those hispanic "family values". I thought these people were suppposed to be Catholics?

I wonder how much of this is due to the welfare state we have here, handing out money to unmarried women? I'll bet that the men are around, but that they don't marry their girlfriends to get that welfare check. I'm so glad that we play nice here, aren't you?

This surprises anybody? Hello...anchor babies.

Here's one more where anyone with some brainpower can see a coming crisis -- subprime disaster anyone? The powers that be in the government and corporations tell us it is all going to be fine.

As soon as we get Rev. Wright out of the way, we can even go back to calling anyone who notices the illegal alien disaster a "racist." Happy Days Will Be Here Again.

But just maybe if enough people have noticed in this financial mess how dangerously rusty the hull of our ship of state is, they may realize they better start acting on problems now.

We're gonna need expensive government programs to teach them to marry! Then more programs about birth conrtol. But if they get pregnant, we'll need to fund parenting classes. And "birthing" classes.

That's where the money will go for the women. As for the men, well, they'll go to prison, because as everyone should know by now, the male spawn of single mothers,* for the most part, goes straight from the womb to the tomb -- the tomb being prison.

We'll pay for all of this either way. Someone, though, stands to prifit from the massive programs and prisons. Who would that be?

* -- I don't think this is due to the breakdown of the family per se. I don't necessarily think kids need to parents; lots of kids turned out great whose dads were killed in 'Nam. I think the problem (which I've stated elsewhere) is that single mothers breed more with antisocial men, thus producing antisocial spawn. The single moms aren't getting Steve Jobs' or Bill Gates' sperm, let's put it that way. They're passing on garbage genetics, which is now lauded in this garbage society.

Can't remember who initially came up with this but I believe I first saw it in a copy of the "Public Interest": If you want to avoid long-term poverty, you need to do 3 things.

1- Complete high school AT LEAST.
2- Don't have children until you are at least in your 20's and married.
3- Get a job and KEEP it. You can't go up the ladder if you aren't ON the ladder.

Our growing Hispanic population seems to have both a HS drop-out rate and an illegitimacy rate of 50%. Not too promising......

Was the immigration time out enacted in 1924 so terrible? Why is doing that again unthinkable/unsayable nowadays? For the life of me I can't understand the fatalism that surrounds this issue.

This effect is a tragedy. It is a replication of what happened in the 1960s, when the white fashionable elite decided drugs, obscenity, promiscuity, bastardy, and "rebellion" were ever so cool and neat. The counterculture ethic damaged white America, but it wrecked black America. Today Hispanic immigrants from relatively healthy cultures are assimilating to the most toxic models in American culture.

The West is not only committing cultural suicide, it is dragging other societies down with it.
