Eroticism Linkage

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

* Polly Frost swoons over her favorite sexy short story.

* The Communicatrix discovers the upside of putting on a few pounds. Hint: boobage.

* Finally: a Swedish-feminist cause a man can really cheer on.

* Tristan Taormino reports that the edgy porn site Kink.com gets more web visitors than MSNBC does. Here's a NYTimes article about Peter Acworth, the British MBA-student-turned-porn-auteur who founded Kink.com. Here's an example of Kink.com's work. Be forewarned: That last link is NSFW to the max.

* What's the relationship between Beauty in the elevated sense and what gives Roissy a boner?

* Good to see that the old wedding traditions are still being honored.

* MBlowhard Rewind: I meditated on the cultural significance of the thong here, here, and here.

Best,

Michael

"Finally: a Swedish-feminist cause a man can really cheer on."

No, I don't think so. Most of the ones on display will belong to bodies that are middle-aged and older, flabby and out of shape.

Or to young ugly butch dykes, mostly university student radical types, as has happened in "top-free" protests here in Canada.

And think about it - they want to "desexualize" the breasts. The fiends! They want to deprive both men and women of one of sexuality's pleasures.

No, keep it covered, ladies; a little mystery is a good thing, surely. (That goes for you nursing mothers, too. Feed your babies discreetly, please.)

(Michael, if the Swedes are for it, it's a bad idea; these are the people who have their men sitting down to pee, in the name of "gender equality". Enough said.)

it's astounding how far and how fast the stout viking culture has feminized itself.

All cracks about Sweden duly noted and enjoyed, still: Wimps. After all, in life you never get the goodies (in this case, lovely toplessness) without paying the price (eeek).

But I dunno, maybe toplessness is best left to foreigners? Gives us Amurricans a reason to travel on vacation anyway ...

Hey, in southern European lands, toplessness seems to be the norm at the beach, though not much elsewhere; it doesn't seem to have any political or ideological baggage attached, it's just the done thing.

German-speaking people (German, Austrian, Swiss) seem most matter-of-fact about nekkidness.

The first dance at the wedding video was awesome. (See link "old wedding traditions"). That's one of the most entertaining clips I've seen in ages. If only I could have given the money I wasted at Beowulf (I paid for my daughter, father and step-mother as well as myself, curse the luck) to the happy couple. The newlyweds certainly deserved it more than those miserable Hollywood doofuses!
