In which a group of graying eternal amateurs discuss their passions, interests and obsessions, among them: movies, art, politics, evolutionary biology, taxes, writing, computers, these kids these days, and lousy educations.

Responses

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

Those intrigued (annoyed, provoked, etc) by our two-part interview with Gregory Cochran might enjoy checking out some blogospheric responses to it: Randall Parker, ChicagoBoyz' Jonathan, Steve Sailer, Joseph Moroco, Susan, Burkeman1, a commentsfest at GNXP ...

Please let me know if you've run across references to the interview at other blogs.

Best,

Michael

I cited the interview -- and Jerry Pournelle's exchange with Cochran -- in Gregory Cochran and Overclocking.

I noticed the more intelligent discussion is over on gnxp and parapundit. The others, especially here and chicagoboys, seems to have more emoting.

What's wrong with a little emoting, Kurt? I found the discussion here pretty damn lively - one of my best internet reads in a while. Sure, there was a bit of name-calling and rudeness (not least from Cochran himself), but there was plenty of substance as well. Also, Mencius rocks!
