In which a group of graying eternal amateurs discuss their passions, interests and obsessions, among them: movies, art, politics, evolutionary biology, taxes, writing, computers, these kids these days, and lousy educations.

First time tragedy, second farce . . . whatever

Fenster Moop Writes:

Dear Blowhards:

duk.bmp

"I can't believe I'm losing to this guy."

Jon Lovitz as Michael Dukakis, regarding George H. W. Bush

"I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot."

John Kerry, as John Kerry, regarding George W. Bush

"I can't believe he said I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot."

Fenster Moop

Best,

Fenster

Oy, vey -- isn't anyone over there going to write something interesting? I can read this kind of crapola anywhere on the web. 2blowhards used to aim a little higher. Hello? Michael? Anyone home?

My goodness, MLE's a bit irritable.

Apparently, the last week of the campaign, someone told Kerry that per the military IQ test,GW Bush actually scored slightly higher than Kerry in IQ. On-camera, Kerry just smiled and said "Well, good for him." Off-camera, Kerry said, "I HAD to have been out drinking the night before that test." I'm sure Kerry can't believe he lost to this guy.

Thanks, Annette. That certainly answers my question.

Well, they just don't get it. Somebody tell me were I can send my donation for air fares in behalf of one or two of the snivelling glitterati who promised to emigrate if we reelected Mr. Bush...

Um -- hullo. Got here through my referrer log. Just commenting to let you know that I do actually have permalinks; the entry in question is here.

D'oh. I know you won't believe me, me being a liberal idiot and all, but my lifelong double post ratio is actually encouragingly low. Of course, it had to happen this time. 'Pologies. {tips hat}

Mira, your link doesn't work. Again.
Nobody think you're an idiot, I'm least of all.
Just, er, confused.
(Unlike Daily Mirror,f.ex., who apparently think 59 mln people on the other side are simply dumb pawns)
Aren't you glad I promoted your blog for donations?
