About Kunstler and suburbia: what Kunstler doesn't mention is the great desire on the part of most (not all) Americans to have a home (not apartment) of their own.
Is there any way other than suburbia that this desire could be satisfied?

As for that Labia Shame site ... just another example of this disgusting (and often pedophilic) shaving fetish sweeping the nation. What ever happened to the celebration of women in the natural, hirsute (and adult) state?

Labia shame... wow. Pardon my being graphic, but I wouldn't mind being choked by some of those flobbity-bobbity thingies. I don't mind the shaving fetish. Grown women shave all the other post-pubescent hair off their bodies (legs & underarms), so how is shaving down there any more pedophilic?

In the Seventies I belonged to a very serious women's group (which insisted it was not feminist) who wanted to talk about s*x in a serious way. For one session we bought some crotch-shot mags and sat solemnly turning the pages. Also, I've worked in a nursing home. Based on this evidence, my best guess is that this "lapel" shame site is a Photoshop hoax. Notice that all the ladies in question are tall, blonde, Swedish, very completely tanned and very similar around the gluteus maximus? Not to mention patronizing the same barber.

They say that both Elizabeth I and Wallis Simpson had equipment that was non-standard in some way, which was considered irresistible by key persons.

I'd hazard a guess that G-string is based on the initial of someone or some place that decreed this as a legal minimum of public decency.
