More Scruton

Michael Blowhard writes:

Dear Blowhards --

A week or so ago, Right Reason's Max Goss did a two-part q&a with the British conservative philosopher Roger Scruton, here and here. Now Scruton returns to elaborate on some of the topics that commenters raised: authority, and town planning. A certain M. Blowhard gets a little carried away in one of the commentsfests ...

More Scruton resources and recommendations here.

Best,

Michael

When I went back home for Thanksgiving to little town in the Midwest, I pretended to be one of the blowhards and took pictures of a development (residential) that they are trying to get off the ground. Not working, that planning thing in this instance - they tried to make a main street with row houses! Without parking! Amidst the cornfields. The single unit dwellings are selling (ones with parking) but not the row houses. Big surprise. I have to put pictures up.....sorry if mildly off-topic but I thought the blowhards would be proud of me for trying to think all architecturally!
