Computer-free

Dear Vanessa --

This Blowhard is taking his Wife on a romantic beach vacation. And since for us oldies, "romantic" equals "no computer," I won't be blogging (or even checking email) for the next week.

Let's see: bathing suits? Check. Flip-flops? Check. Credit cards? Check. Gallon container of SPF 500 sunblock? Wait: where's the sunblock?

Best to all,

Michael

So you're getting away from your jacked-in, "trapped inside a computer" life of the weblogger and spending some time examining the ever-metamorphisizing mysteries of water and women, huh!

Good for you! Have a great time, and I look forward to your refreshed and prolific return!

Take it slow!
And thanks for "elsewhere" supply, that should keep us busy for...another day or two...

Okay, Big Kahuna! Hang ten and have fun!

Have a happy vacation and don't get

a. stung by a jellyfish
b. bitten by a bear
c. run over by a waterski
d. brained by a Chandler omnibus after falling asleep out in the sun during a valiant attempt to figure out The Big Sleep one more time

By now you are gone, so I guess I'll say, "Welcome back." Any musings on the beach? Observations?

Hurry up and share your newest thoughts with us.

I don't think I could handle a week at the beach, but it beats vacationing with relatives.

A Beach Scene

Man: That woman, she is so alluring, look how the light hits it! Like an Ozor film or a manet! What is she thinking...or does she just live? See how she takes in the sand and the sun fully and honestly, not at all like the shrill go-getters back home. This is a woman who knows about love and death, she is connected to the greater earth... I could spend all day just watching her!

Woman: My God this sucks. I thought the beach was supposed to be relaxing, I've got sand everywhere and gulls stole my sandwhich. I'd kill for a good bagel right now...or a book or an internet connection or a monster truck rally anything but just lying here. Why did I get talked into this..stupid package deals,. God I why did I pick this thing, I look like cookie dough packed in a binki. This is so dumb.
