In which two graying eternal amateurs discuss their passions, interests and obsessions, among them: movies, art, politics, evolutionary biology, taxes, writing, computers, these kids these days, and lousy Ivy educations.

are we meant to look thru the contents using their categories? why? i'm interested in finding out what's in the magazine, and linear order's a nice way to picture it.

clumping
themes

power to editors
tendency to use themes
art directors
getting ourswelves treated like children -- ie., we can't deal with print or information unless it's been colored, and mde to pop and twirl. too empty, in constant need of distraction
the look ovr the content.
visual blasts

but if you're not looking at contents for information, what section wuold you be eyeballing for info?

Best,

Michael
