Happy Holidays!

2Blowhards is taking an end-of-the-year break. Best wishes and many thanks to everyone, especially our Guest Posters and regular visitors. We'll start posting on January 2.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2004.

Damn but we're lazy. As my father used to say of me: "Lazy...bone lazy."

Yes, but you've both got the right idea. The temptation to shut down my own blog until the new year is a great one...

Give them a break, you guys. Happy Holidays Blowhards. You're the best damn blog out there and you deserve a vacation. Looking forward to another great year of the Blowhards.

Cheers,

Robert Holzbach

Happy Holidays, guys. You deserve a good rest! Have a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year too!

Thanks for your generosity and for the opportunity to wax poetic. Here’s a year-ending aphorism from one of my favorite poets:

“To believe you are magnificent. And gradually to discover that you are not magnificent. Enough labor for one human life.”

~Czesław Miłosz

Given Friedrich's father's comments, I think the glory of life is exactly the opposite of Maureen's philiosopher----to believe you are not magnificent, and gradually discover that you are!

I think 2B is one of those things, every once in awhile, that Life provides to give us a glimpse of the Magnificent. Or at least The Fun, which is pretty darn close!

My favorite philiosophy (not that anyone is asking): "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need."

Happy Holidays!!

May the holidays and the new year bring happiness to you and yours.

As I said before, you have a great blog. (And my recent comment here yielded a lot of hits back to my site, so I think I'll leave a comment here again ;-)...

Enjoy your break... With a popular site such as this, you all likely deserve it!

And keep up the good work here. Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year!

Happy Holidays on your well-deserved Hiatus.
Your blog is a continuing pleasure & challenge too. Reading you guys makes me happy, so keep it up.

Heavens! I go away on a brief holiday and return to find people saying nice things about us -- what a treat. But I gotta say that, while the two of us put some work into the blog (and enjoy doing so), what makes the place special is the crowd that hangs out here.

Looking forward to seeing you all again in the new year.

What's that smell?

Oh. Scuse me whilst I freshen myself for the new year...

Posted by: Yahmdallah on December 30, 2003 05:51 PM

Oops, I'm a bit late but I also hope you have a happy new year!

Awe ... such a great group of people. Happiness to all, esp the 2blowhards who make it possible!

Here's my saying for 2003, stolen from someone... "tragic is the heroine who can't save herself"

It took me 40 years to grab hold of that one. (Speaking as one who's no longer tragic...Whew!)
