Daniel Libeskind, the architect chosen to design what's to be constructed at the WTC site, has written some peculiar poetry, and has never built a skyscraper. Deroy Murdock at National Review Online has details as well as some more interesting information here.

It's kind of amusing to note that in a survey of local residents, Mr. Liebeskind's design polled third behind the competitive proposal from THINK and...um...neither of the above.

Damage control, anyone?

I'll propose - as long as John Derbyshire hasn't snagged the job already - that the locals start a movement to usher Libeskind out of WTC muddling and into being poet laureate of New York state.
He and new neighbor Baraka seem to have an unexpected lot of, shall we say, common ground 'artistically' and incoherently.
